At $150 I'd pay now and wait the six months before they announce its gonna be another six months, happily. They make beautiful stuff. I just did this guessing game with a front grille on the corvette forum. There is no way this bar is gonna come in under $300. My bet is $399. It'll undoubtedly be nicer and more "functional" but judging from other things I'm betting $399. Anyone got a guess? Cheaper by a dollar or two maybe but not for the faint of wallet.. I'm still buyin one.

The towers being very close to the firewall means there would not be much gain even from a brace tied to the firewall since it is already stiff.

the practical side of this discussion is more that without very large grippy contact patches on the front tires you wont be capable of pulling enough lateral g force to flex the towers enough to warrant using a strut brace of any kind.

The WKtoo is very rigid to begin with there'd be almost no chance there'd be any associated damage from stiffening up the front skeleton. I absolutely knew of a Camaro that cracked it's windshield running a front brace and a 6 point but it was earlier '90 Z28 and they where wet noodles to begin with. 11 second noodles but you could see the roof wrinkle with just a 4 point.
I actually hope and think a good strong front bar would keep the tires more in touch in a noticeable way. My problem is at $500 or so make it shiny and the SRT8 crowd might love another bolt on but I might not even jump up and down at half that even though I throw mine into every turn. it's still a giant brick.

Please put me on the list as ready and willing though, just in case.

That one actually looks like it'd provide some additional strength. The first one posted would do absolutely nothing with the pivot points at the top of the towers. No matter how tight you had those adjusting bolts, they'd always give if the bar ever was under load.

Hi All. Yes I make a Strut Bar for the Durango which I never thought should fit the JC WK2 body. I am trying to find someone locally to test fit it. While im checking how many would be interested in buying one? I will keep you posted.

If you want you can email me at rickyroman3rd@hotmail.com I can send you photos of some others who have bought the Strut bar.

Also thanks Mike for letting others know

Hi do you guys think any of the strut braces would fit the diesel?
The one in the first op says he has fitted it to everything else but a diesel. (He sells them on ebay) but being in Australia bit of a risk to buy and not fit and alot of hassel as well. Like the look of the getters one.
