I love my ZJ. It's not the nicest ride at a little over 4" on short arms, but it's pretty nice inside and it's fairly capable. I just want to pick up something new in 6 mouths to a year.

Saw this in San Diego and thought the MG people might enjoy. Looked like the 22 reps color matched.

Wow! I was planing on 22" polished reps......but now I'm not sure I want to go with 22's......thats the fist pic I've seen where they look funny.....just doesn't look right. Maybe it needs to be lowered? Can someone photoshop it?

Re: The official Wheel thread

Has anyone running 275/65/18s on stock wheels (or similar offset) had any issues rubbing (against the suspension bolt) when deflating the tyres for soft sand?

Thanks

Anyone put the 18" wheels from the 70th anniversary JK on a WK2 yet? Looking for a photo because I'm really wanting to do this swap with a set of BFG AT's.

Re: The official Wheel thread

Ok after lurking for about a year (thanks for all the great info), here's my contribution...

These are "Dip" brand D92 Heat wheels 20x8.5 offset +30, and Pirelli Scorpion ATR in 275/55/20. I switched out of stock 20s/Forterras basically because I wanted a little more unique look, tire that better fills up the wheel well, and was more of an AT that wouldn't get me a flat within 5 yards down a gravel road. Went with the Pirellis over the Cooper Zeons because they're a little quieter from what I could tell from reviews, for whatever it's really worth they've got a treadwear warranty whereas the Coopers do not, and were $200 cheaper or so.

Wheels were $800 shipped; tires, install, and a 255/70/18 spare were $1300.

First impressions ... I was a space cadet and didn't order hub rings (new wheels are 87MM vs 71.5 on the stockers) and consequently there is vibration at highway speed. The tire is actually quieter (for now) than the Forterras, especially at side road speed. It does want to wander a little on the highway and over uneven road in town, I expect a little tread squirm on a new tire and some of this comes from having no center rib, but this is something different -- hoping that between rings, adjusting the inflation (installers put them at 38PSI), and an alignment that will settle out ... otherwise it will bother me enough that I have to do something different.

Appearance wise, I'm digging it for the most part. I'd have loved it if these wheels came in a +45 and I like the look of the Coopers better -- Pirelli's look a little "balloon-ish" to me, great for preventing curb rash and I like more sidewall than the factory setup, but ... Anyway, enjoy:
