Re: The official Wheel thread

Ok... seems there are no LT M/T tires in the following ranges: 265/60/18 (30.5", stock size on the '13 Trailhawk), 265/65/18 (31.6"), or 255/70/18 (32.1").

I did find M/T tires in 275/65/18 (~32.3") like the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac LT275/65R18 E/10PR.

Anyone running this size on there WK2 with the QL and actually flexed the suspension at full steering lock at the different suspension settings? Does it touch/rub any hard parts?

Thanks,

XJ97Sport (It's a Black 2 door, 5 speed with OME lift, re-geared and F/R ARB lockers, and some other stuff)

Thanks nautiboy!

I'm really leaning towards 275/65/18 tires and leaving the stock rims on for a while.

They look great. Are you running AWD or 2x4? Was always curious if the staggered tire sizes screw with the AWD system since the rolling circumference is different?

Looks good. That's one of the wheels that I was looking at. I like the idea of running a different size tire, but why would this screw up the 4wd system?

I have a 4x4

That's why I asked him if he was 4x2. I almost staggered my tire size but couldn't find conclusive feedback that it wouldn't mess with the AWD system. I'm afraid it'll put it into limp mode since the rolling circumference would be different front to back. I went 305/40/22 all around, but may stagger my winter set if anyone can verify staggered works on AWD without issues?

These tires look slick, especially with the new '14 18 inch wheels and the red.

Well done and good choice.

I have a 2012, do you know if the GC's are AWD or have a 4x4 system. I thought it was a 4wd. If it is an AWD system then I have heard talk of screwing with the AWD but do know of a few guys running different sizes without issues. But don't know how it would affect it long term.

It's complicated. Theyre AWD with a true 4WD in the 4-Low gearing setting.

Find me the offset for this wheel and I'll do the math for you.

Thank you man for the fast reply

the offset is 35
and i am planing to go to put them to day i will check and let you know if there was any issue because i checked the reems and tires web and it should be fine.

gona let you know
and thx again
