Thinking about upgrading to 20" knockoff srt wheels

Hey guys, I love my jeep, but ever since I bought it I have hated the wheels. I thought I would maybe grow into them, but I just don't like them.

I love the SRT wheels and came across these knockoff ones on ebay the other day. I was wonder if anyone has them on there non srt-jeep and if they went with the matte black or gloss black. Also should I get the 20" or 22" wheels. I am not planning to lower my jeep. Lastly any recommendations on tires?

Is your jeep black? I cant really tell from the picture. My Overland is brilliant black and I have matte black wheels on it. At first I didnt mind and I still dont think it looks bad. I just think gloss or semi gloss would look much better. I plan on getting the srt spider monkey reps as well. Im going with the 20s because I'm getting BFGoodrish KO2s which is an all-terrain tire.

Today I saw 22s on a jeep and it looked pretty awesome. I would go with 22s if I was off-roading my jeep.

Mines the silver jeep. 22" for off road? Nah I'd do 17" for that

Re: Thinking about upgrading to 20" knockoff srt wheels

If you off road with 22's you better have some massive tires of there, or you're not going to get too far.

Lots of people on the forums here have SRT reps on their Jeeps. Check some of the members garages or sigs in the posts. I have 20x9 SRT first gen reps all the way around. Gloss black but hard to tell in that pic as it was so sunny, I had take it from an angle. They've been on for ~2 weeks now and I couldn't be happier with the look. Offset makes them a bit wider than stock and a bit more aggressive looking. I was between these and spider monkeys, but after seeing a pair of spider monkeys in person in gloss black, I really wasn't 100% on them. Think they look much better in black chrome or chrome but that's just my two cents though.

Those eBay rims do look nice but I wonder how they would hold up after a couple of mid west winters?

Re: Thinking about upgrading to 20" knockoff srt wheels

Sorry, I meant the color of the OPs car. I wasnt thinking about doing 22s for off road. I would do 20s or less. And I know 20 is pushing it, but I know I wont be doing any serious off roading with it. The set up I want is 20 x 8.5 or 9 with 275/55 r20 KO2s. What off set would be flush with the fenders or maybe a little further out. Somewhere is the mid 30s?

I have been wrestling with the color I would go with. I have been back and forth thinking about what to do. And I was also worried about the quality of the spider monkey reps color and how they would hold up.

275/55 will rub up front. However 275/40 will be fine but that's not a suitable profile for the occasional off road trek

Re: Thinking about upgrading to 20" knockoff srt wheels

I didn't think it was going to rub. I talked to another member and they had the same tire set up and had no rubbing issues. Probably when the suspension was in park position but that's all. Other wise he had no issues with it. I mean it was close , but no running.

I wouldn't want to run a smaller tire, so if there is any rubbing I'm not sure what I'll do

Re: Thinking about upgrading to 20" knockoff srt wheels

Questions: just joined up here and I recently bought the STR Replicas.... I have a 2011 3.6 Laredo.... I bought the 20x10s and plan to put Goodyear Fortera HL 295/50/20 I should be good with that fit.... I don't believe they will rub or stick out too far.... I'm more afraid of them sticking out too much.... Someone help me out

Do you know what the offset is on the wheels. That will determine if they stick out. There shouldn't be any rubbing with that tire I don't think.
