Tire Sling

Tire sling on new bright white JGC Altitude. Does this eventually fade out or do I need to bring to dealer? Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Tire Sling

Usually refers to tire dressing and sling is when the tire shine that you apply to your car’s tires flings up and splatters on the side of your car while driving. I am assuming the dealer applied it prior to delivery to the OP.

Are you talking about paint being stains by tire dressing? If so it never goes away. I had to repaint all the trimming. I have learned to wipe down any excess sling ever time I park.

Yikes!! I've read a few places that eventually it fades away. I hope that's the case.

Tire Sling

I immediately removed any tire dressing that my dealer put on the second i got home. Because of that crap dressing i too have some minor stains on the fender well trim (inner edges only). I was able to get most of it off using Meguiars Super Degreaser diluted down to 4:1. Id say its about 85-90% gone now, thank god.

I just recently found Chemical Guys VRP dressing and love this stuff. It gives a clean sheen to the tires and it will never stain the paint.
