Tire Suggestions

Hey fellas,

New here!!

I have a 2014 GC Laredo E group. I have the factory 17s on the car right now. Looking to upgrade to a 20 inch SRT8 rep from factory reproductions. I have the Snow White color and am looking to go with a matte black finish for the wheels. I am going to be doing 20s all around.

What tires do you recommend? Brand? all season or not?

I am not looking to go low profile or run flats as I live in Staten Island and you can say that there is more portholes then there is road. Previous car went through 3 run flats and cost me close to 500$ a piece to replace.

Open to all your thoughts

I know like the 20's that come on the Overland/Summit/SRT there aren't many options whe it comes to an All-Season tire on the stock size, they are more of an All-Highway tire. Look into the tire size you can get that wont rub before buying the rims..

Re: Tire Suggestions

I'm going with the "Cooper Discoverer A/T 3" they are top rated on Consumer Reports Online. They also seem to be the right balance for me(i.e. Snow, Dry, wet, Off-road traction and tread life). Also, I am getting after market rims(see New wheels). I am going with OEM sizes.

Also, does anyone know how much mileage is effected by heaver,(larger) tires and or rims. Or 20's vs 18's?

Re: Tire Suggestions

When I got my Coopers installed 265-65-17, I'd say I lost about 2MPG. I love the tires though, just added 1.5" spacers and loving it.

275/55/20 is what many of us including I went to. No rubbing and good selction of A/T or MS tires--just scan tirerack or Discount tires.
