Tire upgrade question

Hey guys, I've been trying to look through forums for pics of tires but have some questions. tires on there now are 265/60r18
I'm looking at keeping my stock rims (i have a 2012 4x4 limited) but want to upgrade my tire to look more off-roady or more aggressive. I'm not going off-road I just want that look.
1. I don't want to lose MPG.
2. Want to keep sound minimal.
3. don't want to compromise ride comfort.

if you have pics please post them.

Re: Tire upgrade question

If this is the case, your not going to want to go with the most aggressive looking tire which sometimes is the case since they do look awesome. An All-Terrain Tire is going to be what you're looking for such as the BFG All-Terrain or the Cooper ST, Nitto Grappler. The Toyo Open Country MT is an excellent choice and the Toyo tires are known for their extended tread life.

You should check around for some aftermarket rims with tires on them already since the aftermarket rims usually have a larger offset to make the stance wider and look nice!

I plan on putting the leveling kit and then some BFG All-Terrains on my WK2. Wish I could go crazy with it but its just a lease so dont want to waste money!!

Re: Tire upgrade question

You don't think the Fortera's look aggressive? I think they look good enough. How often do you drive off road?

Jeep came with Michelin latitudes.... They don't do any justice lol. I hardly drive off road. Mainly city/highway. But love the looks of an all terrain.

Thanks. I'll look at those tires and possibly getting wheels too. I agree

Re: Tire upgrade question

I also like the Michelin LTX A/T and the Bridgestone Revo and Goodyear Silent Armor. Good luck.

Re: Tire upgrade question

I just replaced the stock Michelin tires on my Overland with OR2 with Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 2. They are much better looking, the ride is nice, I can still cruise in ECO mode at 80 MPH, and the sound increase is minimal. I can't wait to try them out in snow, sand, and other bad stuff!

There is a picture posted in my profile in the "Accessorize" album.

Hi,

You might want to check out the BF Goodrich Rugged Terrain T/A tires, especially if you have the stock Michelin Latitudes.

I have them on my 2011 and they made a difference in wet conditions. I have not gone off- road and I am waiting for the snow. Otherwise, I prefer this over the latitudes.

Best for now.

Re: Tire upgrade question

Just to throw another one in the mix. I have these and really like them so far. (I have black walls.) They're priced right as well.

It's a 50,000 mile tire..
