On Jeep's site and also on the build sheets, it says the Off Road adventure packages come with on-road/off-road tires, but they actually come with all-seasons.. I was a little disappointed to find that out, but I'm over it. Guess I'll find out how good these all-seasons are in a few weeks.
Me too! I was under the impression that they would come with A/T tires, but all I got were M+S rated all-season. Yes, they're quiet on the pavement, but that's not what concerns me the most. I guess we'll see soon enough.
Yes, I read that in the brochure, and figured I'd be buying a set of A/Ts no matter which wheel I chose. Not sure about the WKs, but there has always been an option for off road tires, and now the off road package doesn't even give them to you!
I too was expecting "all-terrain" tires with the Off-Road Adventure Group II package. Jeep's own specification mentions "on / off road" tires, but the Latitudes are "all-season" not all-terrain. Michelin's web site rates the Latitudes a 4 out of 10 for off-road ability, and that is just within their own tire offerings. And these may not good enough tires for a heavy snow on the way to Lake Tahoe skiing.
Hopefully Jeep will send those of us who ordered this package a discount coupon to upgrade to our choice of all-terrain terrain tires to complement our off-road package.
Note that I have not found LT rated tires available in this size yet from any manufacturer.
I had Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo 2 tires put on my Grand Cherokee for its first birthday! They look great, like tires that belong on this Jeep. I did notice more road noise compared to the Michelins, but not too bad since the Grand Cherokee has good noise insulation. The ECO light still comes on cruising at 80 MPH.
