Towing capacity for 14' Overland 3.6

I know what the advertised towing capability is on this vehicle, but am looking to pull my Mustang Racecar to some events this summer...is this feasible? Car is about 3500 lb...
Thanks

On a trailer? What does the trailer weigh?

Dunno yet: I am deciding if I need to go covered or uncovered based on weight.
Need to find out what the standard tow weight is on the Overland....Thanks

Is the advertised 6,200 lb. weight not reliable in your view?

I tow around 4300lb in summer with no problems it is a open trailer with 4 atv's on it lots of drag so I would think you would have no problems at all. You will only get 10-13mpgs though.

Re: Towing capacity for 14' Overland 3.6

With factory towing, you have 6200 lbs available for your load including trailer. You must also get a brake controller unless the trailer has surge/inertial brakes. For this kind of load, you must have trailer brakes, both practically and by law in most places. With factory towing, your JGC will be pre-wired for the controller, so you just need to buy the unit and plug it in.

Don't you know it is more accurate to ask a stranger on the internet. That way you know it might be somebody who knows what they are talking about ... or not.
