Does anyone know, or have used the ebay TPMS. The link is for 5 sensors, $60.

Re: Tpms

I ordered a similar set, I think they were $50 for 5. They will be going on winter tires.

Re: Tpms

I have ordered three sets off ebay so far.

Two sets are in use right now and the last set will be going into a new set of wheels withing the next month.

They have performed like OEM and I have been lucky to have all of them give accurate readings.

I set that actually came from factory in my 18inch wheels on of them is off by 2 psi.

so the Ebay TPMS should be a winner OVER paying dealer prices.

Re: Tpms

I was also curious what the correct P/N we should order is 56029398AB or
Superseded by 68241067AB or 56029400AE? And is it true that the 2016+ 433MHz sensors won't work on 2011-2015s?

Re: Tpms

I believe there may be a software update for the 2014/15's to work with the newer 2016+ TPMS sensors. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

Re: Tpms

I have had the opposite results, ordered 4 from Ebay seller that buys up overruns of various oem parts. Two were fine and 2 did not function, seller replaced the two defective tpms sensors. Those two also did not function. In my situation, the sensors were older stock parts number with last two digits being AA ( first run of part). If the sensors they are selling are newer parts that is a good deal. There is always a reason why parts are being sold below market value, in my case I prefer to have a good part work the first time. A lesson learned!

Re: Tpms

FWIW, the part number on that title is the same as I ordered for my '14. I got mine on Amazon for $35 for a set of 4 and they work flawlessly. You can order a 5th separately for an additional $15. My Amazon order was fulfilled by Dodge, though that's obviously the same people (Mopar) as Jeep.
Anyway, long story short, if that's the part number listed 56029398AB, they should work fine.

Re: Tpms

I ordered a set of OEM sensors from ebay because the price was great. I will say I did have a problem getting one sensor to pair, but I'm not sure if the problem was in my car or the sensor itself. Reason I say that is because Discount Tire said the sensor registered on their scan tool perfectly everytime. So who knows what happened, either way after a few trips to Discount it eventually paired itself and now works great. Before it mysteriously started working on its own, I emailed the ebay seller and they promptly sent out a new sensor. I never even tried that one since the original they sent now works great, but I will keep it on stand by just in case. Either way I am happy with the sensors. I needed to buy these because I bought a set of new takeoff OEM 2016 wheels/tire/sensors.
FYI, 2016 sensors are NOT compatible with earlier models whatsoever. I had multiple shops attempt to make them work in my 2015 including a dealership. Holding the sensors side by side they are visually significantly different as well. So save yourself the hassle and don't even try. I did all the leg work for you.

Re: Tpms

Not to hijack this thread but I have the tire pressure light on and I verified tire pressures (all at 36 psi) and the light is still on. Do I have a bad TPMS sensor? Ideas? Much appreciated.

Re: Tpms

Yes, either a sensor or receiver has failed. You should be able to look at the EVIC and see specifically which tire isn't displaying a pressure. That's the one you need to fix.

I only see low tire pressure, inflate to 36 psi but nothing else on the EVIC.

Re: Tpms

Hmmm. Odd. Swing by a local tire shop, they should be able to scan each tire/sensor to see which sensor(s) is fouled.
