Purchasing OE Tpms sensors for my winter tires and was wondering if they need to be programmed by the dealer ?

Re: TPMS sensor programming

Mine programmed themselves but an occasional reviewer on Amazon where I bought my tpms sensors report that they needed the tire store to synchronize theirs. I guess it just depends. I saved money by purchasing here:

Got mine from eBay (OEM). Cost about $40 and didn't need to do anything but slap the new rims on the Jeep.

Re: TPMS sensor programming

Just like the other two, I didn't have to program anything. I got mine of Amazon too, for $45 for the full set of 4.
I've done the same with my Ram and Charger. Bought the sensors, put them in, mounted the tires and started driving. No programming needed.
