Hytek, did you have to leave it there all day for them to fix it? Did you provide them the TSB info or were they able to look it up?

I'm planning to go in to get that defroster grate on the dash replaced as mine is deforming, as well as have them check out the rear bouncing/clunking from the rear. Might as well get it all done at once.
I made an appointment and waited because the service order was for 1.5 hours labor. I brought the TSB info when I first went 2 weeks ago and they had to order the parts.

Can you just go in and tell them you want x,y, and z tsb's fixed on my jeep? Or do you have to show that you are having this issue.

I did exactly that. I went in to have my brakes checked and said to check that tsb and another one out while I was there. The tech took it for a drive and right away identified the clunk as not normal so they ordered the parts for the trans and set an appointment to come back.

I called my dealer about this today and they had no idea what a tsb was. They kept thinking it was a recall and checked to make sure there were no recalls on my jeep.

I gave them the number so they could order the parts and I'm sure they won't order them or have any clue when I bring it in.

Re: Transmission clunks when shifting to park

I had this clunk from Drive to Neutral. Had the dealer perform TSB 21-010-12 today and it's now completely fixed and I have no problems with my WK2 now!

FIXED! Yeah!
2 TSB's for this. 1) Software TSB, 2) Transmission separator plate and filter TSB.
Also resulted in transmission fluid change (nice expense I don't have to worry about now!)
One less annoyance to deal with......
They also updated the radio software.

Re: Transmission clunks when shifting to park

Forgot to update that I had this fixed as well. Took care of it at the end of November. It took about a week for them to get the parts in and then I dropped the Jeep back off for a day. I got it back in the evening and now shifts between gears like it should, no clunk, no jerking. As mentioned by Truck11, free tranny fluid change along with it

I also had my oil changed and the defroster vent by the windshield replaced on the same day as well. Killed 3 birds with one stone!

Get the TSB number from wk2jeeps.com and have them look it up. Be sure you are speaking with one of the service advisors...if he can't help you, ask for the service manager. I'd be concerned with your dealership not knowing what a TSB is....might be time to find a new one.

Apparently some dealers dont want tsb business. I had to shop around to not get the Thats normal...

Seriously bad business practice...

Re: Transmission clunks when shifting to park

Picked up GC Overland CRD 2 days ago, now done 300 k's. Same issue with the 8 speed auto, clunking from P to N and N to D and back. Also when slowing and coming to a stop, auto seems to struggle to drop down smoothly in gears without clunk and slight shuddering. Also feel a shuddering/vibration at rest while still in D at lights etc. Other than this issue, vehicle is magnificent. Took back to dealer who 'will have a look at it during the week'. Anyone else having same problems with latest release models??
Thanks in advance.
