I am sorry to report a transmission problem with my brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland (Gas V6). About three times now, while we are driving at about 30 mph, the jeep on its own will drastically downshift causing a sudden slow-down which has caused people following us to slam on their brakes to avoid a collision. I have read about this sort of transmission problems in older vehicles, but has anybody seen this with a brand new 2015 with about 1000 miles on it?
I have not had this issue with mine, but I believe there is a new TSB out that may want to have applied if it's not already been done. I wouldn't hesitate to contact your dealer immediately.
Thanks, we are bringing it in today. Dealer was responsive and will supply a loaner. Yes, my Jeep does have ACC/FCW but this is more of a downshift with the motor RPM going very high with the associated deceleration of the vehicle. Car was cleaned a few days ago.....but I can check the lens
I will keep the group posted...
