Re: Want to upgrade to Brembo

Offsets will do the same on a 10".
ET35 will stick out further.

It'll stick out almost 13mm more than my current setup and im flush with the fender.

Re: Want to upgrade to Brembo

Well,

After about a week and a half and about 500 Miles on the new Brembo setup I already have some high speed wheel shake in the steering wheel

I went with these Brakemotive cross drilled/Slotted rotors and now I'm starting to wonder if I just got a bad set ? or if they somehow warped on the car? I have been pretty easy on the brakes and haven't hammered on it at all...outside temp here is around 30 Degrees also so it's been nice and cold to help cooling.

Good news is that I called Brakemotive today and they're sending me a new set of front rotors but I'm afraid it'll happen again..

I'm ready to just get a nice set of front rotors that I can rely on being straight and true...Anyone have any suggestions as to what I should buy?

Are the Brembo rotors worth the money?

Re: Want to upgrade to Brembo

I would love to do the Brembo brake upgrade but would have to buy 2 sets of SRT wheels for summer and winter... My stock wheels will not work with the Brembo calipers....

I was in the same spot..I ended up buying 2 sets of new wheels/tires ...I got these 20" SRT Spider Monkey Knockoff wheels for the spring/winter and I bought a set of 22"s for the Summer..

It's a costly investment for sure ...I have no use for these stock wheels I have now..but I'm sure I could unload them easy enough if I needed to ..so if you look at selling the stock ones it's not that bad

Re: Want to upgrade to Brembo

I also did the same. Sold my OEM and bought 2 sets of replicas.
Luckily the sale of my OEM's paid for one of the sets with a little left over for the second set. Brembo's may come after the wedding or next Spring.

Re: Want to upgrade to Brembo

Well...I bedded the Brembos in last night as suggested and it does help...they work better for sure and alot of the wheel shake I was seeing is gone...the steering wheel does shake a little bit at 70-80MPH plus when you hit the brakes...so I'm not sure if I should try bedding them again?

Or just rip off the front rotors and put another new set on?

the brakes are SMOOTH until you get to the 70-80MPH+ mark and the wheel only vibrates a slight amount.

Is this normal? Or are the brembos supposed to be perfectly smooth at all speeds?

Re: Want to upgrade to Brembo

Looks like I just needed to beat the snot out of them a bit ...they're smooth now after a bit of bedding.

I over reacted and bought a set of new front rotors so if I do get any warpage at least I'll have a set of new brembo rotors to fall back on

Thanks for the help guys
