Re: What tires really fit?

I do have those ont he stocks for now. I just ordered another 18" from the dealer because I bought 5 tires. I will let ya know if it fits in the spare well when I get the rim this week.
Also Ive had some time to get out wheeling with these tires as well as some highway driving, and would like to say that these tires are AMAZING!!!!
On the street I havent noticed a whole lotta difference in performace. We've had lots of rain and they work great for that too. Offroad they are just great. I had to pull my buddy and his TJ out of a mud pit that the GC with the Dyanpros didnt hesitate on.
They are little noisier in town, but not bad at all on the highway.
I would definately recomend this tire to anyone looking to do some offroading.
I will try and get some picks posted of the day of wheeling. I also took some windshield mounted video that I will try and get posted.

Do you mind if I grab a few pics and add it to the top of this thread?

Re: What tires really fit?

Can anyone confirm if the JK Sahara 18" wheels will fit in place of the 20" Overland Wheels? I bought a set but have not tried to install them yet.

Do you have the V8 with the Heavy Duty brakes?

I'm running the JK Sahara 18" wheels, but I do not have the HD brakes.
The 18" will clear the caliper based on wheel diameter. I do not know if the HD brakes are any wider. If they are wider, they may not fit.

Yes I have the V8. I will give it a try and post up the results.

Re: What tires really fit?

285/60/18 (31.5") Terra Grapplers do fit with these wheels (18x8.5 +25et) and QL. Tightest spot is back of the front wheel well, at almost full steering lock. There is 1/8" to the felt wheelwell liner at normal height, just touches it in park mode.

This offset widens the stance just over 1" per side (31mm) which really fleshes out the look of the WK2. The sidewalls come out of the wheelwells a bit less than 1". I Will need to drive and force the suspension through more travel to see if there are more rubs.

Re: What tires really fit?

Looking nice!

So you think using that wheel or a similar wheel with +25et and a 275/65/18 tire (815mm/32.08") will rub? Seems like it with your 1/8" clearance assessment on the wheel well liner. Perhaps +35 is the lowest offset you can go w/ 32" tires on stock suspension?

I like those wheels though. What are your handling/driving/sound perceptions with the +25et? I'd be curious to know what additional loads they put on the stock components to cause premature wear. Guess we'll know in 50-100k miles?
