The 18" will clear the caliper based on wheel diameter. I do not know if the HD brakes are any wider. If they are wider, they may not fit.

Jay, did you have to add spacers or tpms? Thanks

I've got a set of 2016 Sahara rims on my 2014 Overland right now.

It's close but they clear. FWIW, I don't have a V8 or diesel, but I do have tow package. I have no idea if that means I have HD brakes or not. Here's the clearance

I've got the same size (255/70/18) and the spare fits in the hole, with the lid closed. No fitment issues at all. In fact I even trimmed the jack tray to fit in the Sahara rim so I still had all my stuff organized.

Re: What tires really fit?

No HD brakes on V6 with tow package. To confirm, check to see if your Jeep has vented rear rotors.

And wow, that is not much clearance.

Re: What tires really fit?

Cool thanks for the tip. I didn't think so, but then I saw some stuff that said it does with the tow package. Couldn't find a definitive answer, now I finally know how to check.

And after doing so, no the rear rotors are not vented. The front are, the rear is not. So standard brakes, and the rims clear the calipers by a very narrow margin. If it matters, that photo showing the clearance is of the front caliper.

And just because I can, here's a shot of the rear clearance. There's a mile...

I'm looking to get some spacers and I heard that 1" wont work in the front and has to be 1.25" all around. Is that true? How are yours with 1 and 1.25?
Also thinking to put 285/50/20 on OEM 20"s. Looking just for street driving so no need to go higher than 50.

Re: What tires really fit?

Add this to the list.

2012 Limited with no QL. Stock everything.

275/55/20 Goodyear Duratracs. No rubbing or modification needed, rides just as smooth, just a tad bit louder.

Re: WK2 Tires - Compilation of owners experiences

The 285/65/18 is a 32.6" tire and it's going to be really tight in your stock wheel well. You'll definitely have rubbing problems all around. If you lift your GC, you might be able to fit them.
