What's your Fuel Consumption? - 32" VS. 33" tire

Hey everyone,

Title says it all. I'm in the middle of modifying my 15 GC limited and I'm figuring out what route I want to go in terms of tire size. With that being said I'm curious to know what you guys are reporting for MPG's (preferably wk2's with a 2"+ lift). Thanks.

fwiw, you'd need a huge sample size to get a 'real' idea of mpg's based on mods - way too many variables

lifting and more unsprung weight = lowered mpg's, how much depends as much on how you drive, where you drive, what you're carrying with you, proper tire inflation ..... plus are the people reporting results using their onboard computer, actual miles:gallons, did they adjust their speedo/odometer or how are they tracking actual miles...

Right hear you and I'm fully aware. I can get a rough estimate by asking what everyone is reporting.

You're not likely going to find a lot of folks who have done the physical modifications to accommodate 33s...but in theory, they are heavier, etc., and will likely reduce fuel consumption a bit.

I sure did and it gets a lot better mileage than my 2004 Hemi Ram 2wd or my 98 5.2 Dakota 4x4.

yeah me too - leaving a '12 f150 4x4 5.0 (tuned) for my ecodiesel = twice the mpg's

I'd be more worried about your acceleration with a heavy ole 33" AT tire if you got the (rental/stripper) Pentastar engine. 0-60...how about next week? That work for you?
