Wheel alignment- air suspension

Hi,

I am new to this . I own jeep grand cherokee overland 2012 with QL air suspension. I am having problems with my wheel alignment and the dealer is no help. They are insisting to do the wheel alignment the vehicle has to be in alignment mode whichbaccording to them is same as the Jack mode which is airsuspension disabled mode.

I have read in many forms here n else where it has to be in aero /sport mode and should not be disabled. I am trying to convince them what they are doing is not correct as i had to change my tyres in 20k n am on new tyres right now.

I am looking for original documents in support of this so that i can convince them. Any help from your side much appreciated!

PS... My uconnect does not bring up settings on which we can set air suspension modes. For jack mode we have to press lower n upper height setting buttons for 5 sec and then get a message on the ECU that air suspension is disabled. But know nothing about how to get it to wheelalignment mode

Wife's 2014 overland has a mode for alignment in the settings menu. Jack mode is there too.

Different Uconnect WK2 verses WK2.5.

Hi,

I know the newer ones has this mode ... My question is on 2011-2013 how is it done. My jeep dealer insiat it has to be done on Jack mode which i dont think is true. I have read its done in sport/aero mode, but i am looking for documented evidence in this regard so as to convince the damn dealer .

Thanx

Re: Wheel alignment- air suspension

When I push alignment mode on my 2014 all it does is lock it into aero mode. I was also beside the machine when he scanned my vin and it said to make sure the car was in aero mode only.
