Wheel Alignment Specs JGC with Quadralift

Hi

Apologies if it has been posted elsewhere, however I did a search but couldn't find it.

Does anyone have the Jeep specs for 4 wheel alignment for the JGC with Quadralift and 20" wheels? Mine is a 2012 if that makes any difference.

Thanks

^BUMP. Also, can anybody assist with the correct height for carrying out alignment, AUTO, SPORT, ORI? Cheers.

Re: Wheel Alignment Specs JGC with Quadralift

Thank you Fnkychkn

That is very much appreciated.

I guess for a RHD vehicle that the Front Left and Right Camber settings are reversed?

Also, I assume that these settings are as published by Chrysler Jeep?

Thanks again for the info.

Re: Wheel Alignment Specs JGC with Quadralift

My alignment (toe only, front and rear) was done in ORI likely by mistake. The QL I disengaged before tyre change had been re-engaged as I was handed back the keys and the suspension was already raised to OR1 as I drove off.
I got the Nitto TG fitted last week and they are noisy at normal and worse in sport. Raising the car to OR1 whilst driving at 60kmh quietens them down. Maintaining steady speed, the noise increases as the suspension is lowered. Interestingy, I was also told during alignment the castor could not be changed (set up for LHD, US specs??) but reading another thread, it looks pretty simple Anyway, I'm back for a recheck at Aero/Sport height tomorrow so will keep you posted. FNKCHKN, if you could confirm RHD settings, I would really appreciate it. I wonder where the dealer got his settings from as they look very different "after" adjustment to preferred.

Cheers.

Re: Wheel Alignment Specs JGC with Quadralift

The toe reading on my alignment report reads in mm not in degrees. Is there a translation from one to the other. Total toe = 0.8mm front and 1.4mm rear.

Re: Wheel Alignment Specs JGC with Quadralift

Converting toe from mm to degrees:
  1. Measure the rim diameter in mm as the size e.g. 17" is not the actual diameter your measurements are based on.
  2. Multiply the result by PI to get the circumference.
  3. Divide the result by 360 to get mm per degree.
  4. Divide the toe mm by the mm/degree result to get toe in decimal degrees
found this formula here >>> Geo Setups - TechWiki

EDIT: better still, a conversion chart from here >>> http://www.crypton.co.za/Tto%20know/...Simplified.pdf

Re: Wheel Alignment Specs JGC with Quadralift

Thanks Fnkychkn

It's interesting that the LHD specs have the Front camber skewed to the left (as a pre-load) for what I assume makes allowance for the camber or gradient of the roads so that the vehicle track straight, yet the RHD spec are not skewed, but just central.

I wonder if that is why most Aussi RHD Jeeps from new seem to pull to the Left, in that the camber is set to neutral and because there is no pre-load, the vehicle naturally follows the camber of the road to the kerb being our left. Or maybe, the alignment at the factory is always done the same way, being for LHD vehicles and they don't bother changing specs for RHD vehicles.

Thanks again for posting the alignment info.
