According to this tire calculator it seem to be the perfect size for my 2012 Overland. It's wider but all other specs are very close to the 265/50/20 oem tire.
Of course you can...20" rims and tires are standard on many of the trim levels that include QL. And the outside diameter of the tire remains the same, anyway, unless you choose to buy larger tires.
I had the Ventus ST RH06 295/45/20 on my 2012 Overland and it fit no problem. And I had 20X10 wheels. I think the 20X9 are not wide enough for that size tire
I've noticed through reading many of your posts that you're VERY indecisive.
I see lots of posting the same question over and over. You need to spend the time to research these things for yourself and stop trying to rely on the opinions of others. As you can see from the posts above you could be steered in the wrong direction by people with no experience with the situation but just trying to be the hero.
The pictures I pulled up came from my first Google seearch "295/45/20 wk2" lead me right to that post where that size tire is mounted on a 20x9 spider monkey wheel.
If you want to mount that size to a 10" wheel it can be done but it also can be done on a 9" wheel. On a 9" wheel the tire will offer more rim protection because it will have more of a sidewall bow then if you mounted on a 10" wheel.
VERY indecisive is me,that's for sure. I've called many tire dealers and they say no to the 9". My worries are will the tire perform as well and last as long as it should being mounted on the 9 and will it look goofy bow out. The pics with the 9 don't look it,but I don't know... The wheel I want only comes 9".
lol...sorry I didn't know you had to investigate. I thought you or someone out there had all the answers! Just to let you know,I'm retired and I'm having a hell of a good time with my Jeep and this forum,"sort of". I'll back off with all the questions and search for answers in the future. GEEZ...and by the way speak for your self and not everyone else. Seems like every time I get in a conversation about something on this Jeep Garage forum someone has to be a smart butt...
If I decide to post a question in the future
PLEASE do not respond to my questions if you feel like your wasting your time because it's actually wasting mine if your going to bonk about it.
Blah Blah Blah ... I'll talk to my local friends. No help here... you guys are more confused then me lol...you know what...I'm going stock and to hell with you all!
