I'll be getting a '14 Limited this summer and I am looking to have a nice set of black wheels ready and waiting. Plan on going with 17's and I'm really liking the ATX 192 Blade wheels from American Racing. 17x8.5 +30 offset.
I would like to put a set of Nitto TerraGrapplers on them. LT265/70R17 (31.61x10.94).
Curious if anyone has tried this or a similar combo on a stock GC. I don't want a lift or leveling kit but, would like to the Jeep a meaner stance and more aggressive tire.
This is just my experience and I'm chiming in only because many people here go with 20" wheel/tire options, so you won't get too much feedback, unfortunately.
When I fit my 17" Moabs take-offs from a JK Wrangler (+44.45 offset), I also added 1.25" spacers to them and could not get 265/70's to fit without rubbing while turning. I'd imagine my setup will be similar to what you want, with the +30 offset, but I can't confirm that. I know that some have been able to fit the 265/70 size with OEM offset and no mods to the suspension, but the offset/backspacing is what caused the rubbing for me.
I downsized to the 265/65 and they are millimeters away from touching the liner at full lock and at full suspension flex.
Hope that helps you out a bit and don't let it stop you from trying to fit them, if you can test it out before you commit to a purchase.

Thanks. This stuff is making me pull my hair out. Some say they fit even bigger 275/65R18 on the factory rims, I have seen 265/70R17's on a zero offset with no issues. Almost makes me think every Jeep is a little different and it's all luck of the draw. If it wasn't for the 11mpg Hemi, I would just stick with my Ram. Much easier to mess with.
Hey everyone, Here is the pics of the wheels just fitted up. These 275's only just scrape in the top of the guard when hitting big bumps at high speed but other than that they fit nice..
The bighorns have a bit of road noise but well worth it for the extra traction I have gained.. Overall very happy with the setup....
I was looking at that. He's on stock suspension, but says "touches on big bumps at high speeds." Wouldn't it be even more troublesome 'off-road' which is what he says the setup is for.
