Wheel Offset Question

I have a 2014 CRD Overland with the ORAII and want to install 20" wheels. I don't dislike the 18" stock wheels but I think the 20" is a better fit aesthetically. I work in Telcom and have to go off-road to radio and cell sites but nothing too serious, mostly street driving. Anyway, I really like the look of the 5 spoke 2014 srt wheels but they have a 35mm offset (20x9) versus the 56.4mm offset (20x8). I want to go with a 275/55/r20 tire.

Does anyone know if the difference in offset will cause a problem and if so what? Also, I also do not want the tires to stick out beyond the fenders...Will the offset difference cause this.

Thanks!

Re: Wheel Offset Question

Go to this site plug in your wheel tire sizes etc....it will help you understand the real difference...scroll down and read the entire difference. I don't think it would be a problem however, it would better if someone with real world experience would chime in...hope this helps

I think you'll be okay. I have srt wheels and went with a wider tire. Still doesn't stick out past the fenders. Pretty much flush with the top of the fender well. 275/60-20

Re: Wheel Offset Question

Mush, thanks...I looked at your other pictures too. Can you tell me the size and offset for the SRT wheels you have? My only concern is the wheels I bought are the 2014 SRT standard wheels with a +35mm offset and from what I've read so far there are different offsets depending on width and style.
