Personally, I disagree.
The McGuard units with the funky squiggely lock are probably easy to strip (and the fact that it sticks out past the wheel).
I bought the Gorilla locks (in black) where the lock socket goes over the entire locking lug AND they are recessed behind the face of the wheel. Would be pretty damn hard to strip that unless you didn't take the time to fully seat the lock on the lug.
Yes, professional thieves have the 'one size fits all' type socket (as do most dealerships), but then again the professionals are probably just going to take the entire vehicle instead of the wheels/tires.
I personally went to the Gorilla 20 piece locks after putting the new Goodyear Adventures on my Jeep. Spendy tires demand some protection and I think that will be enough to discourage the 'amatuers' out there.
