Where to buy non load leveling rear shocks? Or eibach loweing shocks.

Would like to lower the jeep and trying to find the best price on non load leveling rear shocks, or am willing to trade someone with low miles on theirs (currently have 7k on mine in South FL). Also, any reviews on the eibach shock package? good or bad if you have them? If good I'd be willing to spend the extra coin on them, just don't want to be the guinea pig.

Re: Where to buy non load leveling rear shocks? Or eibach loweing shocks.

The standard duty shocks cost like $70 and discount online parts places.

The Eibach sport dampners are not available yet, tirerack is expecting them in stock on 8/8/2013.

So you might have the be the guinea pig.

I am not sure if Sachs still makes the sport dampner for eibach but they are pretty decent schock, they are not bilsteins, but they should be better than the tokicos that come with the standard suspension.

Do you have their lowering springs as well?

Hi Dave,

I'm interested in you load levelling shocks if you still have them?

Kev.

Re: Where to buy non load leveling rear shocks? Or eibach loweing shocks.

Sorry for taking so long.
Yes the Eibach shocks are installed, I have only driven the Jeep back from the workshop (about a 15 minute drive).
From that drive, I found that the squat and dive when accelerating and braking are now almost non existent, the Jeep corners flatter (less body roll) and the ride is not as harsh as I was expecting, only slightly worse than stock.
This is from only a 15 minute drive though, when I get a chance to take it for a longer run, I will re-assess.

However I did have some issues with installation.
For some reason my front sway bar looks like is has been rotated back and was rubbing a groove into the Jeep shocks (more on the left than the right).
I am not sure why this has happened. I have been running on Eibach's lowering springs for a while now, but I don't think that would have caused the sway bar to move.
The problem with this is that the Eibach shocks are wider at the mounting point than the standard shocks, so now the sway bar is constantly sitting on the left shock and only off the right by about 1mm.

So the Jeep is not being driven until I can find a solution to this. I am thinking of making a spacer for the 2 central mounts for the sway bar, I think this should move the sway bar links forward away from the shocks.
Anyone have any ideas?

Apologies for the blurry photo.
