Stay away from the BF Goodrich. I was running that on my Camaro and they sucked. They just couldn't grip the road the way it should have IMO

I've heard back from many who have used that tire and 90% complained about the noise, including the manager at Discount who had them on his Mustang. On comment here was they weren't noisy at all but I think it's subjective so when 90% across multiple venues all say the same thing I gotta go with the masses.

I think, had I waited, General will have something mid summer. They are basically Continental and the word I hear is they are shifting the truck and SUV branding in the US to General and focusing Continental on the car market. A General version of the Cross Contact UHP would be sweet. They sort of had that with their existing UHP but that tire is discontinued so I didn't want to get into needing 1 down the road and not being able to find it.

I ordered my Overland a few days ago and will take quite a while to arrive-longer with the parts problems in Japan.

Sorry.

Re: Which tires should I buy, you be the judge

I got the Michelin Latitude Tour HP's installed yesterday and they are, IMHO a perfect match to the Overland with 20" wheels. They simply work

Ride comfort is excellent
Steering response is better than either the factory Goodyear's or the Yokohama's
No vibration at any speed (both the Goodyears and Yokohama's had an annoying vibration between 65 - 75 after repeated balancing)
Excellent grip with very linear turn in and grip up to the limit
Overall grip is probably as good as it's going to get with the factory suspension
Noise is a tad higher than the factory Goodyear's but it's white noise and not intrusive (wind noise overcomes it at speed).

Based on the road manners over my "test loop" I expect the towing performance is going to be just fine, especially if I air up the rears to around 42 lbs when under load.

Time will tell how long these last but based on the improvement in overall feel my personal opinion is they are well worth the money. Sure, you can get cheaper tires but if you want the best ride and performance spend the money, you shouldn't be disappointed.
