I have 265/50R/20's on 2014 Overland, I just noticed spare is a 245/65/18. Is the spare a space saver type,? its a Fukayama sounding name. Other 4 are Goodyear.

How many miles can I travel with this spare on?

Just FCA's way of cutting costs while maximizing profit.

Mine is a Kuhmo Solus, I believe. The spare tire's OD matches that of the OEM Goodyear 20's, or very close. I wouldn't really call it a space saver. Your owner's manual explains the different types of spare tires used across the GC lineup and which ones are considered limited use and speed.

Can I get a 275/55/20 in spare area with cover laying flat?

Re: why's my spare a 245/65/18 - tires are 2665/50/20

The "full size" spare is the same diameter as the tires on the four corners and has the same load rating. It's a little narrower so it fits under the cover properly. Unless you up-size your tires, there's no practical reason to change it...it's only used as a spare and is otherwise hidden away. If you do upsize at the four corners, you technically need to upsize your spare as well because with 4WD vehicles, it's a must to have all tires the same diameter to avoid damage to the drive train. A larger spare may not fit well in the space provided and certainly will at least require removal of the storage bins that surround the OEM spare.

That tyre will fit without the storage containers but the cover wont close.
