Would you say they are noticeably more comfortable and quieter than the stock Goodyears? I'm looking at these for mine either in your size or the 275/55. I have to convince the wife that it will be an improvement though.

Re: Widest Tire for 2011 Overland

I've only had the Cooper's on for a couple of weeks but so far so good. I really didn't like the Fortera's at all, but I'm very pleased with the Discoverer H/T Plus 285/50, particularly in the wet and when cornering. In spite of the more substantial tread pattern, the tire is very quiet.

Just be aware that you'll need to change your spare to match the larger rolling diameter of the bigger tire. So to match the 285/50R20, I'm switching the stock 245/65R18 with a 255/65R18.

I've heard about the spare issue. Can you post a profile view and maybe a 3/4 front view in normal height and tires straight. Don't mean to sound like a pain, but I'm torn between this and the 275/55. I have standard suspension. Thanks

Sure. Here are a few taken at the Goodyear store this afternoon as I picked up the spare that now has a Wrangler All Terrain 255/65 R18 tire installed. Hopefully it helps with your decision process...

Looks really good. Might be too much tire bulge for me though. Just cautious about going to the 275/55 because of the height. Might consider a 255/55. My neighbor has it on his Range Rover sport on an 8" rim. It just looks like it was meant to be on that size. It's also 1/2" taller than the stock jeep size. End up right at 31 and most of them have minimally less actual tread width compare to the Fortera.
