Will dropping a GC summit effect air ride suspension

Hey just wondering if anyone knew that if I dropped my summit by 1-1.5" will it effect my air ride suspension? When lowered to entry level I have 1.5" clearance and want to get rid of that. Any knowledge or suggestions would be super helpful!

Re: Will dropping a GC summit effect air ride suspension

Those of us who have used the altered sensor links to lower about 1" don't seem to have any issue, although it's a good idea to get alignment checked. I personally wouldn't go any farther than that, however, because you're not actually changing anything except what the "normal" is. Below that and you're getting very close to the "stops" and the ride over bumps could be uncomfortable, just as it is at the top when folks use ORA-II level.

Re: Will dropping a GC summit effect air ride suspension

If you didn't want to do the links you can purchase a controller to basically override the factory module for the air ride. I did it on my 2011 Overland with the QL. It has basically 4 settings. Low-changes all setting lower by 1.25". Off which is all factory settings stay the same. Medium-changes all settings to 1.25" above normal (this is what mine is set on, but I wanted more room for taller tires). High-changes all settings to 2" above factory(pretty suffer ride, similar to a sports car). The HIGH setting should not be used with OR2.

Go to my build page. It's a lot more detailed there. Search ARWK2 Overland. I'm not sure how to put a link to it on here. If someone could tell me, I'd appreciate it. I will post a link to the kit for you though.

When you get to this page it will show and mainly talk about Land Rovers, but, but at the top of the page you can email him. He is a very knowledgeable and helpful guy. Tell him Paul from the states sent you. I told him I'd try to send some business his way.
