Re: WK SRT8 staggered rims on a WK2 Overland? Need feedback please!!!

Yes 4WD it is.....it looks like I have many options for staggered rims. I don't know!!!! I'll have to take some time and think about it. Thanks guys.

On a 4WD WK2 or any AWD vehicle all tires should have the the same overall diameter. There are people out there that have destroyed center diffs even with just having bald tires up front and brand new tires in the back. The speed difference is just hard on those parts. Not to scare you away from a staggered set up or anything but if you decide to go through with this get the overall diameter of the tires to be as close as possible if not the same. Good luck man.

Re: WK SRT8 staggered rims on a WK2 Overland? Need feedback please!!!

I spent a few hours on the computer doing research on tires last night. I also wanted the same brand tires all around and particularly the Hankook ventus ST high performance all season. If i decide to go with the staggered rims I think I will run 265/50/20 front and 295/45/20 rear. That will keep the diameter within .25mm. If i get the 20X10s all aroundmthen I will go with 295/45/20s. But no matter what I will still have that annoying gap between the wheel and fender. There is no lowering kit for QL equipped wk2s. Ughhhhh!!!!

How's that 275/45r20 working for you I need to replace the OEM 265/50r20 but can't get the tires I want (the Michellin lattitude are BO). I'm thinking to go to 275/45r20 in Conti ExtreContact DWS.

Re: WK SRT8 staggered rims on a WK2 Overland? Need feedback please!!!

I actually sold my stock rims and tires and upgraded to wk1 srt reps gloss black 20X10 wrapped in Hankook Ventus ST. You can see pictures in my other post. The rims and tires cost 1600 installed from factory reps and discounttire, sold my stock set up for 1700. Ride is AMAZING!!!!!!! Best tire I have ever driven!!!!
