Sorry I f this has been explained prior but ,, does the WK2 Quadra Lift Front end sit higher (in normal mode ) than a WK2 without the QL (standard suspension) ,,Its definitely seems so,,, Does anyone know for sure?? Again just the front.
Why would you think the ride height should be the same. Non QL is a fixed system, so it has to be set to a compromise height. QL is real time adjustable, so it can ride higher around town for clearance and then drop on the highway for mpg.... or drop for parking. I would be surprised if the bumper heights are identical.
Other things can affect height a bit, condition of the shocks/tires as well as production variances.... there may be some height sensor calibration variation.
I agree with what your saying and the whole reason I'm asking is because my buddy has the QL with the same tires and wheels and in park mode his sat at least an 1" higher , just thought that was a litte much, Im gonna double check again just for giggles , and for my curiosity
The QL does not drop to park height unless the park button is manually pushed. The parked QL bumper height should be the same as when it was stopped and turned off. Shut down in normal mode results in a higher bumper than shutting down in sport mode. There has been some reports, I think, that the height adjusts a bit on shut down, but mine doesn't. I wouldn't be all that surprised that the QL normal mode bumper height is higher than a metal spring height.
You have to remember that the QL is a load leveling suspension as well. So based on the load of the car, it can increase or decrease height.
There is this Xterra I park next to that is slightly lifted and on some days (in normal mode) my Jeep is a tad higher, and some days it is a tad lower. Ofcourse, park mode makes it way lower and if I'm feeling like being the "bigger" Jeep, I put it in OR1 and park it
