Hey guys,

I've searched around but can't find a definite answer... We've recently got snow here up in the great white north (yes i know its September 9th...) and so I'm looking to get a jump on getting some winter tires and I'm wondering if some 255/70/18 winters off a 12' Sahara will fit my 14' Limited? The only concern I have is that with the bigger overall circumference, that I may run into some rubbing issues on the upper control arm joints as someone had expressed earlier in their Off Road 18's thread. The wheels are good to go with 5x5" just the tire size I'm worried about.

Any of the brain trusts have a good idea if I can fit 255/70's on a 2014??

Thanks!

For what its worth, I have 14' Rubicon wheels and tires on mine with no issues. Should work fine as long as you don't have the adjustable suspension.

These are after I put the RRO leveling kit on the front. No issues before the install, I just wanted to level the stance.

Here's my 2014 Summit on 2013 18 Sahara Rims and 255/18 r70's

QL@OR2

Park Mode

No rubbing that I could ever tell.

I really like the look, but I took them off because the TPMS doesn't match up with my 2014 WK2. Need to purchase new TPMS and I'll put them back on.
P.S. I hate dash warning lights

Does your Summit have the height control system in it, I think all summits do, and what engine do you have? Someone earlier stated these 18 rims with 255/70 R18 tires will fit a 2014 Jeep GC as long as you do not have the height control system in it. I am also surprized yout TPMS does not work because I was told the 2013 Wrangler TPMS sensors should be the same as the 2014 Jeep GC Summit (433Mhz sensors).

Indeed have quadra-lift
Did not experience any rubbing no matter the height.

Not sure why the tpms did not pick up on these wheels. Perhaps they need something to turn the 'on' dunno.

Bought another set of tpms. Will have the installed and see what happens
