Yet another tire question

I am looking at REVO 2's (18") to run year round. Anyone else doing this. I am sure that by now tires must be good enough to run all year and not be an "all season", as they just don't do it for me. Thanks. Yes I searched and researched just asking.

Re: Yet another tire question

I think there's a couple folks using the Dueler A/T Revo 2s and they like them well enough.

I'm not sure what you mean by "be good enough to run all year and not be an 'all season'" because if a tire is designed to be run year round, it is by definition an all season tire. All season tires have improved greatly over the years, but they are still a compromise by comparison to dedicated summer and winter tires. Plenty good for the vast majority of buyers, but still a compromise.

I too am upstate and see Revo's often. I just traded my Latitude Tours for LTX M/S's for year round use. I'm sure you will be fine.

Re: Yet another tire question

Tirerack AT survey ratings below, with the Kumho's as the new leader of the category.

IMO, these AT tires are great all-year and perhaps are better representatives of what the customer thinks SUV "all-season" should be.

Re: Yet another tire question

The Revo's are a great tire from the reviews I've read on tirerack, shouldn't have a problem running those year around.

P.S. I'm running Wrangler SilentArmor's year around. It's an A/T tire that is also snow rated. Very happy with them.
