14 Black Overland - NY in the driveway

Hey all,

So after a patient wait I finally have my Overland. Of course after 2 days it is covered with salt dust. Seeing as how nicely this thing rides I have no idea how I kept driving my other vehicle for so long. Loving the 8 speeds and smooth shifts.

Installed the Mopar slush mats, which while not perfect with my light interior, I think it'll be oK. Better than letting all this junk hit the carpet, right?

Still in the box is the chrome grill inserts. After having read through that post I'm opting to have my mechanic spend an hour removing the bumper. If it were Spring/Summer I'd give it a go, but it is rarely above freezing, so I'll opt out this round.

Thanks for all the info and stories, this forum is great!

Nice jeep! Agreed on the new transmission. I've seen plenty of people complain about the shifting....I'm glad to hear someone else is enjoying smooth shifts like I am. I also really like the new nav and instrument cluster. I'm really impressed with my overland, sounds like you are too!

I'm looking for slush mats too, I'm leaning toward the husky x-act's. I've heard good things. Feedback coming soon on that front.

Congrats on the awesome jeep!!

Have you tried the unconnect ap yet? I started the jeep from my iPhone tonight....crazy....

Enjoy the jeep!

Ps, we need better pics....c'mon man(in my best mike ditka voice)

Re: 14 Black Overland - NY in the driveway

I did the Uconnect remote start the other day. It was nice getting into a warmed up car (only a few minutes, but didn't have to sit on hard/cold leather, and wait a few minutes for the oil to circulate).

I went with the Mopar mats mainly due to price. I liked the looks of the X-acts but wasn't sold on the black. I figured for $150 for a full set of mats (cargo too) I couldn't go wrong. Turns out I like the contrast.
