Do you have the HEMI? Please say you do.
I have the entertainment package and my son loves it.
I added Bora spacers on the wheels See other threads. Haven't added pics yet.
I love the way the Jeep drives now with them on, Feels more stable on the ground.
I as well did the K&N air intake and DiabloSport tune, What a big difference.
I would love to change the exhaust to give it that SRT sound, or close to it.
I had the new Durango RT and the sound was hard to give up.
Maybe if I decide to keep it i'll swap out the exhaust.
Sorry man. No HEMI here LOL. I had to option of getting it but the added HP wasn't worth the MPGs for me. Gas isn't cheap up here in New England. I read a lot on the topic on several forums and ended up going with the 6 banger.

I've been up in the air about those wheel spacers. I want them and think they would complete the "look." But have read some good and not so good reviews of them. Well, if my twin has them ... then I guess I must now too!!!!

THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS !!! Your the first person I've seen on this board who has blacked out there Summit . I have the same black summit as you and have been thinking of doing something like this for a long time but I never seen anyone do this yet . LOOKS GREAT !! I miss my Hemi / 2011 Charger but I also opted for the V6 . It's a very solid engine and a great option . If I had to do it again I would go for the Hemi because I really miss the torque . Anyway , I love the black out . All you need to do is WRAP the rear tail lights . Congrats again .

Re: 14 Summit Plasti dipped some chrome parts

Thanks. I looked all around the forum for the same thing ... not to mention the entire internet! hahaha.

Blacking out the chrome around the tail lights is on the to do list along with the roof rack mounts. I'll try to remember to post some pics after I do it. It's been pretty cold around here (even in the garage) lately so progress has been slow.

What was your strategy/technique for masking them? Did you tape off the entire light assembly and peal off around the chrome?

Re: 14 Summit Plasti dipped some chrome parts

i used half inch blue painter tape for the reverse light piece, then used the inch blue painter tape to tape off around the lights, i left about a half inch to an inch of overspray room, then just used a bunch of newspaper to cover in case of overspray , i did 4-5 coats, peeled off pretty easy, the only part i had to go back and clean was when you open the trunk, the grey piece that hides the screws to the tailight had some overspray from the little gap in between trunk and side quater panel

That's exactly what I ended up doing. It was prob the easiest part next to the roof to dip. Not sure about you but since this was my first time plasti dipping I def have a few areas I have to touch up or just redo all together. Now that I know exactly what I'm doing and have my masking and spraying technique down ... the next dip is going to be pretty much permanent.
