Re: '15 Overland wheels

I could understand going with less classy looking winter set of rims, I personally wouldn't but anyways those rims make the GC look extremely ghetto. 👎🏼

Anyway you have a split 5 spoke with spokes that are concave instead of convex.
Your comparison is like saying two people look the same because they're both humans.
To be honest the solid black wheels that are so popular right now look like crap to me. Reminds me of what you'd see on a Toyota Corolla after the plastic hubcap falls off. Now THESE are wheels:

Ditto. Just my opinion. Run oem during winter and buy a real nice set for summer. You can make that 200 back easy. Maybe make a few bucks

You're right about road noise. BFG would probably be their AT K02. They seem to rut hunt with the square tread edge though. Toyo has the R/T that might be good where it would be a dedicated winter tire, but I don't know much about them or their track record.
Sure, I'll post which tires we go with.

Re: '15 Overland wheels

Crud. You all have me second guessing the rims now. I actually was looking for Rubicon wheels when these sort of fell into my lap.
Thanks for your input.....I think. :-)

Re: '15 Overland wheels

Yo man different strokes for different strokes I like those rims I would put them on a truck because they are classic. I am just going my way for my jeep not knocking your choice. As far as tires go man if you search you will find the info on what's the best for what ya want and need. I would suggest getting set of winters to throw on the OEMS and get the ATs for the other set

Being old school I like the chrome wheels, they look great on the grand Cherokee.

Those are great looking wheels but to someone who has OCD and only hand washes his cars they're a nightmare. I love the look of BBS mesh wheels but would never buy another set because they take too much time to maintain.

He was willing to go for $200 so they came home. They might have to be the summer wheels with the OEMs becoming the winter wheels.
OP...

IMNSHO, those Chrome Wheels look like A$$!!!

They are gaudy, superficial, tacky, tasteless, and more kinds of wrong then I have time to write down.

But hey... if you like them...

Re: '15 Overland wheels

I think many of you guys are being a little harsh on your wording lol. It's easier to say something like "those wheels are cool, but they don't fit the overall look of the GC". If the OP likes them, then leave them on for the winter wheels, get some oxidation going on, on the chrome. That way come spring time he'll have to buy those Wrangler wheels he wanted

Bro, ^ this is all that matters. Everyone has their own opinions on what looks good what doesn't, black wheels, chrome wheels, green wheels, whatever... It's your Jeep

Bottom line: Do what you like, hell with everyone else, LOL

PS: just be aware that you are inviting comments one way or the other when you post pics though

Re: '15 Overland wheels

The 12et offset stuck out too much to clear the back wheel well liner, so I got out of them what I had invested in the awesome looking chrome rims.

Then I got a set of American Racing ATX Series Dune AX190.
