Took a couple pictures last night with the trim taken off. Looks much cleaner without the chrome trim IMO.

Just the lower side moldings. I left the window trim chrome, that and the mirrors. I'll probably leave those as is for now because I like them chrome.

Re: 2011 Overland Black on Black

The only price if gotten so far is $600 for sand blasting, fixing wheels Imperfections, straighteninh, and powder coating with life time guarantee. That's all so far.

Re: 2011 Overland Black on Black

No problem. There is also the idea of purchasing OE Rep wheels for around 500 but that doesnt include mounting and balancing and selling my wheels or looking in the classifieds for wheels I would want.

Re: 2011 Overland Black on Black

In the meantime, I would do another 5 coats of glossifier on each wheel. I've plasti-dipped wheels on a '14 Honda Accord and they have come out looking much more "glossy" than that. Other scenario is to try a metalizer on top of the black plasti dip.

Re: 2011 Overland Black on Black

I just re did two of my wheels since I wasn't happy with the way they came out and used more glossifier and these came out great. I'm going to try adding more coats of gloss and see how it turns out.

Re: 2011 Overland Black on Black

Here is the picture of the newly painted wheels that I re-dipped yesterday. If you look back at the previous pictures you can see how big of a difference there is. Why there is such a difference it the color/gloss ... I'm not sure.
