My first post after a long day working on my new Jeep. Got my 2013 Grand Cherokee Limited last month and spent today starting my build. I saw a Grand Cherokee Altitude in Deep Cherry Red while shopping for my next vehicle and knew that's what I wanted. But, due to those being very rare on the used market, I settled when I saw this Limited sitting on the local lot at a very tempting price. Now I am in the process of recreating the Altitude look.
Here she is on the day I picked her up.
Here she is as of today after a quick wash.
I found the black grille and tailgate handle on ebay. The grille is not made by Mopar, but fit very well. Both took less than 2 hours combined for removal and install thanks to threads on here that pointed me in the right direction and a couple youtube videos. I also removed the chrome side pieces and got the adhesive off with Goof Off. Last mod of the day was Plasti dipping the rear step surround.
Near future plans include blacking out the door handles, window trim, roof rails, badges, and mirror caps, Bilstein 5100 shocks to level, Front tow hooks, and Mopar Rock rails. Not sure what I want to do for wheels yet, might just plastidip, but would like to put a 275/55/R20 tire on at some point.
