Tell me about it. I went from golfing in shorts to wearing a ski coat in 48 hours. I am so done with winter.

Thanks!

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland- Granite

This thread hit 20,000 views today. Wow. Thanks toe everyone for the advice (on Rock Rails, Lemon Law, etc.) and compliments. If anyone has any questions, picture requests, or anything else, don't hesitate to ask.

Also, I am considering making this into a 2014 Trailhawk Edition of sorts. I would have to get 18" wheels and A/T tires, which I want anyways, no matter how I configure it. They would probably be the grey Mopar ones I was looking at before with 275/65R18 or stock size GY Wrangler Adventure tires. I would then do orange tow hooks and badges and maybe a hood decal (the all-black one), or red tow hooks (and maybe badges) with the Traihawk hood decal. What do you guys think?

I'd say everything but the hood decal. She's way too pretty for that

Message to anyone on the fence between getting ORA-II and not getting it:

GET ORA-II!

I've really warmed up to the 18" wheels, and Selec-Speed and Skids would have been nice (although I am adding skids). The 20" wheels look ridiculous with the rock rails (at least with the tires I have now). I am looking for a set of 18" take-offs at the moment, as those are the cheapest.

If you're getting skid plates, get them from justforjeeps. Ask them to price match factorychryslerparts.com website. That way you get an amazing customer service, paired with the best price

Last night I went to start the Jeep. Nothing happened, so I hit he start button a few more times. Music and everything came on, but the engine wouldn't start. The check engine light came on, and then I got the "Service Electronic Braking System" message. I turned the Jeep off and then tried starting it again and everything worked fine. Has anybody else had this issue?

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland- Granite

If my Jeep gets bought back, I am either getting another JGC, a Wrangler, or an Audi S4 (maybe an S5, but probably not). I am thinking about getting something a little more fun, since this is a third vehicle after all. It still has to carry 4-5 people and be safe because a 17 year-old is the primary driver. I threw the Audis in there because they are about the same price as the Jeep, are good in snow (Quattro AWD), are good looking, are nice, and are pretty fast. I looked at the Charger/Challenger/300 SRT, and those cost as much as the Audis, don't have AWD, and just aren't as nice as the Jeep or the Audis. I thought about the JGC SRT, but a 17 year-old driving a $70,000 vehicle is ridiculous (because driving a $55,000 vehicle was totally fine ).

Re: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland- Granite

After thinking about it, I think I would get an Overland again. I am still undecided on ORAII or not, as I want 18" wheels but don't love the look of the factory ones and the factory 18" tires are worthless, and I also have heard that the 20" handle much better than the 18" on-road (I would need to test drive). I would still get the Granite, and I would get the Indigo/Brown interior, which I would have gotten the first time had it been available with Granite.

I've decided that I really want a Jeep, meaning the Audis are out, but I am too worried about the Wrangler's safety to buy one for a 17 year-old driving two younger brothers for 35 miles every day. Maybe I'll get a Wrangler if I buy some land, but otherwise it doesn't make sense. I will be getting at least one, probably two, or maybe even three fun, fast cars in the near future, so I don't need the Audi S4 anyways. I'm going in on Saturday to deal on a 2014 Range Rover Sport Autobiography to replace my Lexus GX. I will also be replacing my Infiniti M with either an Audi A6/S6, Tesla Model S 85/P85, or a Cadillac CTS Vsport/V (I am still very much undecided on both the car and whether to get the performance or ultra performance version, as you can see) when I get more time. Depending on what I get, I might also take a look at the 2014 Corvette Stingray.

Lastly, Jeep will be getting an email from me about a replacement, so stay tuned if you are interested in the result.

I'm pretty sure nobody reads this thread anymore, but I figured I'd post anyways.

I read your thread and just drooled over all the cars on your to buy list. The Tesla has really been stealing my attention recently. I'm eager to see what their production SUV looks like and then will proceed to talk my wife into taking over our Overland so that I can get myself a new toy.

Are you serious?

Who could have possibly followed your saga without wanting to know "the rest of the story"?
