2014 Jeep JGC Summit

My new ride. Traded it in from a 2012 JGC Overland. Love the improvements from 2012.

Man I love the summits. I looked at them but couldn't find one with the 5.7 so I went with the overland. But man. Those summits are spectacular. I love the stitching in the steering wheel. I also love the wheels and chrome grill. That thing is a monster.

I saw one at the dealer that was being used as a demo by the sales manager. Almost makes me want to sell cars for a living.....

The crazy thing was the guy driving it had some sort of liquid stains on the leather seats. Trash littered the floorboard. I couldn't believe someone would treat a summit like that....who does that to a summit?

Agreed. I searched for a while for the 5.7L black on black. Ended up with a demo but it was kept very clean. Was just issued so only 500kms.

Thinking about trading as well. Have a '12 summit, did you have the Hemi in the previous overland and how does this one compare with regards to drivetrain and uconnect?

I had the V6 in my overland. Overall engine and drivetrain performance was good. I had no real complaints. Power And fuel economy was great. I went with the Hemi on this one simply for the extra power (and the sound - nothing beats the roar when you floor it).

I didn't try the v6 with the new 8-speed so I'm unsure how this may have impacted performance. I'm curious to see if it's always looking for top gear given the lower power. Definitely no problems with the old drivetrain.

U-connect is night and day. 2014 system is a huge improvement from the 2012 system. Much more user friendly and performs smoother than the 2012 system. Bluetooth call quality is also improved significantly.

Cheers,

Patrick
