You did great. I'm glad you went with black wheels.

Looks great. How is the ride? Any rubbing or vibration at high speeds?

Ride is harsher now than with the OEM 20's but more stable. It handles far better while cornering.

No rubbing to speak of even on full lock turning.

I had a slight vibration around 100 km/hr first thing in the morning that dissipated after a few kilometres. I read some information on various forums about the Pirelli's developing flat spots after sitting overnight, so I thought it must have been the cause.

I ended up buying the Gorilla lugnuts to replace the OEM nuts/locks and I've had no more vibration since. The only reason I can think of is that the OEM wheel lock is huge in comparison to the wheel lugs and maybe it threw off the balancing on the 22's but wasn't noticeable on my OEM 20's.

nielboy, just wanted to ask how the driving characteristics are for you on the 22 with the air suspension... does your steering wheel bounce left to right over bumps?

No I don't get that happening. Mind you any bumps I know of on my regularly travelled route, I do try to either avoid or go over a bit more gingerly to avoid possibly denting a rim.

What I do get occasionally is the tracking with the wide 305's on the front. That's unavoidable with tires that size if you end up in the slow lane that the truck traffic uses.

Nielboy,

Your rig looks bad @$$. Looks good too since you have an overland with all that chrome.

When the right time comes I want to get blk wheels on mine and might leave all the chrome unless it doesn't like right.

Love the look. I was sitting on the couch with my son looking at future wheels and I settled on these...and then I saw your pictures and was in love! I notice you said +45ET offset, is that with or without a spacer. One of the other frustrations I have with the stock 20's is that they are recessed in the wheel well, so if I'm going to be a bit before I replace the wheels (as in my daughter's college education takes priority! ) I may do spacers as an interim solution to get rid of that offset.

Thanks for the compliments. No spacers on them. They're a perfect fit without them.
