Awesome trip OBX- pics inside

Took a little vacation to OBX this weekend/week. Was able to make it up to Corolla twice to get some beach riding in. I had a blast taking the WK2 on the sand and we were even able to see some of the wild horses. I have the QT1 system and was surprised how well it did in the sand. I drove down to the end of the beach access part both days and didn't get stuck once, even playing around in some of the soft stuff. I also didn't deflate my tires because of how much rain the area has seen and did just fine. Can't wait to bring it back down there and enjoy the beach riding. I got 24.5 mpg to/from OBX from Fairfax, VA. Also, I didn't think it was possible to enjoy my WK2 any more than I already was but after exploring some of the capabilities I realized this vehicle has so much more to offer; most of which I have not yet experienced.

I love the Jeep and the scenery. Glad to see the QT1 handled it since that is what I have. So you have stock tires and never felt the need for low range?

Yeah stock Latitude tires with about 5k moles on them. No I never felt like I needed 4 lo or anything which is good because the QT1 doesn't come with it. I did notice that if I was going in and out of people's tracks that sometimes the ESC light would come on and then go off once I got better traction.

Re: Awesome trip OBX- pics inside

You guys get a ton of nice spots to take your WK2's to out in Colorado though, sometimes I wish I lived closer to the mountains haha.

Nice pics. Glad you had a good time down here. The outer banks here are pretty fun. It's only about a 2hr drive for me. Or on the other hand, two hrs west and I'm in the mountains.
