Re: Bgon's 15' Altitude

Looks great, man. Really like the black grill surround and roof. Was thinking of having my grill surround wrapped in gloss black, won't have the same effect that yours does with the white since mine is Granite Metallic. But might look good (I think)

Re: Bgon's 15' Altitude

Did you have to use a relay and canbus adapters for the headlight / fog light HID install? How exactly are yours installed? Do you have any flickering or issues?

Do I sense someone looking to install HID's?

I installed HID's on my 2014 and never once had a single issue. Got my kit from DDM Tuning. Been using their kits for years. My wife actually has a set in her '13 Altima and she loves them.

I could always lend you a hand if your ever back on the island.

I'm just curious right now because I know the 2015's are a lot more picky than the 14's. I want better lighting but also don't want any issues like flickering or bulbs failing to ignite here and there. I'm leaning more toward LED's but it sounds like on the 15's you need to run a relay for LED's which would make using LED's pointless over using HID

Re: Bgon's 15' Altitude

very nice Jeep !! I love your mods. However, I love how the stock white grille with silver honeycomb looks. But in black its nice too

Are you affraid of burning the plastic on the rear taillights with HIDs ?

I would just use one relay kit per side. So everything is isolated and also incase if one side fails you still have the other side.

Personally I'm done with adding aftermarket lighting kits, relays and extra wiring. After what I went through in my 2014 and the dealer/customer care trying to pin my problems back to my HID kit.

From now on I'll upgrade the stock bulbs with better halogens and move on... As much as I want the HID or LED look it just not worth the risk.

Thanks man! Yah i want to just to the chrome around the windows to gloss black but haven't had time to worry about that... prob do that in the spring along with the tail lights.

I bet it would look good... I never understood the chrome grill to be honest or the chrome lug nuts... :-|

Relay is in there and canbus but my fogs currently still SHUT off randomly driving but sometimes stay on for days... it's really hit or miss and I've changed both my ballast twice now.. still running into issues with the fogs... Brought it in for the experts to look at and somehow..they don't see a problem so gotta figure out another solution cuz it kills me driving but yeah I heard the 14's work fine but 15s are a nightmare as I'm learning
