I absolutely love my Jeep. If I could do it all over again I'd probably get the Hemi- but overall I still LOVE my ride. Peace.
How do you like those tires? Can you explain the ride and what the noise is like?

Is the button to open the liftgate glass black or brilliant black, and what about the outline around the JEEP badge - brilliant black or black?

I have a brilliant black Overland too and I want to paint the mirros and rear chrome strip too. I just can't decide if I should leave the JEEP chrome on the back or paint the whole strip brilliant black. Thanks for sharing the pictures. It looks really good.
The button and outline were painted body color- brilliant black. I wasn't sure if I should leave the outline around "Jeep" or paint it, but think it came out pretty good painted. I'd be interested to see pictures of this done without the outline painted. Thanks.

Love the look...nice and clean.
I switched out the tires shortly after I bought the Jeep. I don't remember noticing much difference- which was what I was hoping since this is a bigger tire. Very smooth ride and handles well. I had to order the rear fairing/ bumper valance to support the dual exhaust- it's the same one used for the Hemi.

The Magnaflow dual exhaust used is the same one built for the V8. Sounds great- I hope to get a video made and posted soon.

Re: Black Overland With Mods

I love the color matched back chrome piece!!!! I haven't seen anyone leave the Jeep chrome like you did and really like the way it turned out! A LOT!

Just out of curiosity (since I picked up a black '12 WK2 last week) how much did they charge you to color match the back chrome piece?? Also how much was the hemi valance you had to buy? Never having done either of those things I'm just trying to get a ball park range on it... Keep up the great work your overland looks great

Thanks! I had a guy paint both mirrors and the chrome strip on the rear for $350- which included the price for the paint. I have no idea if that's a great deal or not but I was so anxious to have it done and I knew he did good work. BTW, it really does look much better in person- the pictures don't do it justice. I wish I could take credit for the idea, but I saw pictures on this forum (believe it was Moosehead) of a silver JGC where the strip was body color, the "Jeep" was left chrome, and the outline was done in black. Looked awesome.

The shop that did my Magnaflow exhaust ordered the bumper valance and built it into the price of the job- I believe it was about $150. Somewhere on this forum somebody posted the part number and price. Good luck!

Thank you! I learned about the Sharkfin on this forum- many posts floating around and some with the website to order. They color match for you and ship for about $80 I think? It was one of the first mods I did almost a year ago and don't remember exactly. I think it took about 7-10 days to arrive after I ordered. Simple to install and works great. Good luck!
