Re: Black Overland With Mods

Shark Fin is $81 shipped. Got it from Visual Garage. It's the Mark II I think. Send them an email with your make/model and color code and they'll send you an invoice with a paypal link.

Re: Black Overland With Mods

Thanks dslide! I'll have to look into this more once school settles down, if that ever happens... Another thing that just occurred to me is painting the GRAND CHEROKEE lettering in on the side/door chrome strips... not sure how do-able that is (if the place couldn't do it, I could always cover the whole thing in painters tape and take a razor blade and cut out the lettering then paint it or plastidip it...) - I've never painted or had anything on my car painted before so I have some figuring out to do

I'm trying to decide whether to paint the valley or leave it chrome. You can see pics of the two here. Dslide - used one of your pics for comparison purposes.

I think I like it better with the valley painted body color.

Just ordered mine. They are backed up in production, so i should have mine in 2 to 3 weeks. Guess ill have to wait

Tuff Country Leveling Kit
275/55/20 Michelin LTX MS2
Magnaflow Dual Exhaust
Painted mirrors/ rear chrome strip
Sharkfin antenna
Window Tint
De-badged hood
K/N CAI

I absolutely love my Jeep. If I could do it all over again I'd probably get the Hemi- but overall I still LOVE my ride. Peace.
I just got Brilliant Black mirror caps put on my Overland today (in place of the chrome mirror caps). Wow! Huge improvement in the appearance of my WK2 now. Your pictures (and rustysarurs' pictures) really helped make the decision easy. I'm going to replace the rear liftgate chrome with brilliant black too once I can get my hands on the part from the new Altitude edition.

Were you able to order just the caps already painted? If so, where and how much? Everyone here says you need to buy the whole mirror assembly.

I'm getting ready to buy the chrome mirror caps and have those painted in order to swap them with my current chrome caps. We shall see.

The used car manger's wife at the dealer I bought the Grand Cherokee from just got a brilliant black Laredo and she wanted the chrome mirrors so we just had their body shop swap them so it cost me $30 for labor and I tipped the guy that did it another $10. I got lucky. Otherwise you can't buy just the painted mirror caps/covers, you would have to buy the entire Laredo mirrors or find someone that wants to swap. Maybe ask dealers if they would switch mirrors from a Laredo with you.

Actually worked out a pretty good deal to sell my ride and purchase a 4X4 V8 Overland, so I let this one go. I honestly had a love/ hate relationship with my Magnaflow. Performance gains were debatable, but I liked the sound most of the time. Had some drone I just couldn't get rid of and it bothered me when I was cruising at high speeds. I've heard good and not so good reviews of an aftermarket exhaust on V6- guess it depends on personal preference and what you're looking for.
