CG27519 2012 Altitude

Here's my 2012 Altitude, 4x4, 5.7L Hemi. I've had it about 2 years, and been drooling over everyone elses rigs for a good while now. Finally pulled the trigger on a 2.5" RRO spacer lift, 275/55-20 BFG AT KO2s, and 1.5" Spidertrax spacers. I initially wasn't planning on adding the spacers, but was getting some rubbing in the rear passenger side when I braked hard. I had it about 2 days without the spacers, and like the look much better with them. Definitely adds something. No more rubbing whatsoever! Also, I have the mopar rock rails installed.

Hoping to add the RRO roof rails and adventure rack, along with the RRO combo brush bar and winch. It's a long list.

That's quite a difference in appearance. Looks very capable now. Plus, you've got a pic for others to drool over.

Very nice next on your list should be a CFR Hood from Blackopps Auto

I gotta say that hood looks really out of place on a non-SRT and for the cost there are a ton of other mods to consider.

Looks great! I'm looking to add the rock rails shortly.

I have already made a ton of mod's inside and out. The hood is a head turner and I have had many guys stop me at a light and say I got get me one of those Jeeps.

It's a head turner because it's not the same color as the rest of your Jeep.
If you vinyl wrapped it red or pink it would turn heads too.

Personally I prefer appearance mods that most people would think is OEM. I'm not into drawing attention to myself or what I drive but if that's your thing then go for it.

Shoulda just got an SRT hood instead. That hood looks like garbage without the aggressive bumper of the SRT to match. Especially unpainted...

I wish someone would come out with an SRT front bumper replica that would fit overland/limited/laredo fenders I would totally be in for that. Then that hood might actually look ok.

That hood is frickin pimp...just needs some paint on it. Its perfect for the body lines of the wk2. Other hoods with huge, used 1 million times in everything from chargers to civics hood scoops does nothing for matching the body lines of the wk2.

Re: CG27519 2012 Altitude

The hood looks good to me, but I'd call it a bonnet.

FWIW I only posted to balance out the usual suspects who believe they are the definitive style adjudicators... or something more.

Cheers,
Steve

Would you know anyone that could/would make an SRT style front bumper kit for non SRT wk2's? If you have any pointers I'd seriously consider pursuing it. I'm gonna start poking around for fabricators to see if it's feasible.
