I knew they wouldn't help so I prepared to put him down. Many, many friends and family came to say goodbye. I was completely devastated by the news, but we had an amazing life together with our Jeeps.

On 3/15, I put McCoy down and right or wrong I decided to search for another puppy. I found my next buddy on 3/18. He was born on Christmas Day so I named him Nick.

After much deliberation, I decided when McCoy died so did my love for the Wrangler. It was our thing. So on 3/22, I decided to buy a Grand Cherokee Overland 4X4. It has the High Altitude package with a Hemi. This thing is amazing and beautiful. I will miss the top down days, but with McCoy gone I just needed to turn that page. I have had so much fun building my Jeeps.

My first mod was a Canvasback to protect from the puppy.

Re: DallasGC's '15 White High Altitude 4X4

So far I have spent $464 for everything for the interior to puppy proof as much as I can. Today, I removed the pinstripping. I hate that it was on there, but I leased this GC without test driving it.

Re: DallasGC's '15 White High Altitude 4X4

Dodged a major bullet again from hail. We've had 3 major hail storms in Dallas since I bought my $50K GC. I knew I wasn't built to own something nice. Tonight the GC was outside and the hail was pounding it. I couldn't see out from my facility because wind, hail and rain were pounding the door. Fearing the worst and seeing golf ball size stones on the ground, I think there are no dings. Just a few blocks away these were falling.

Have some friends that live in the hardest hit area and had 8 windows broken out of their house and have to have their entire roof replaced - scary as hell

It was ridiculous. 3 storms just like it so far this spring in the same area plus a major tornado the day after Christmas. Someone is telling me I shouldn't own a nice car that I care about.

Re: DallasGC's '15 White High Altitude 4X4

Get a place with a garage.. That wouldn't fix the problem 100% but you'd avoid a lot of storms I'm sure lol
