Nah, too many tree huggin, pitouly oil smellin, granola eating, birkenstock wearing, prius drivers in these parts that like to leave love taps with their low doors on all us gas sukin hogs (no offense).

I love the clean look though, just can't get away with it. Maybe paint 'em with the plastic trim once I find a shop that can do so.

Rock rails/tubular steps should solve that issue!

I like the look of no door trim. But the jeep almost looks naked with no JEEP on the hood, IMO.

Anyone with the MOPAR rock rails care to confirm that if a door was to open a bit too close to your GC if it would strike the rock rail first?

Thanks!

Re: Door molding GONE!! Pics

I've wanted to do this since I bought my Jeep. Looks so much better! I was afraid that there were holes in the side of the doors to mount that piece. Are they difficult to put back on?

I have tubular, and it will stop them depending on the height of the vehicle, if its another SUV then no, there doors are usually higher then the steps.. If its a car then yes they would hit the step for me at least.

By "tubular" you mean side steps right? not the rock rails?

I'd be interested in the MOPAR rock rails or the Rocky Road rock sliders.

I think the sidesteps look too big

Correct. Depends if its for use or not. If it just looks or occasional offroad then rock rails would be more suited.

++++++++1000!

My cars seem to be a magnet for assholes who like to fling their door open into mine.

I've had my new Overland for 2 weeks now and have been parking as far away from other cars as possible.
On 2 occations some dope parked next to me....in the middle of the empty far end of a shopping center parking lot. I was surounded by at least 50 empty spots without another car for 100 feet. No dings yet luckily...knock on wood.

I would never take those things off. My 1998 Limited had painted side panels and were loaded with dings.

Re: Door molding GONE!! Pics

you need to go to the dealer and get the Grand Cherokee lettering from the SRT8. and add it to t=where the original molding was. It looks sick.
