Driving through 26'' of snow

Nothing crazy, but thought I'd post.
Tires are stock Nitto Terra Grapplers just put on yesterday morning.

Re: Driving through 26'' of snow

Nice! I'm running the terra grapplers as well and have really enjoyed the snow traction. They are also well mannered on the street.

Re: Driving through 26'' of snow

I've been thinking about getting some grapplers on my oem 20s also. I've seen several pictures of the 275 55 20s but never any photos of the stock size. Anyone willing to snap a few pictures and post them once the snow melts or you get your jeep garaged?

I don't have the greatest photo of the grapplers on the jeep, but they are there and are the stock size

Re: Driving through 26'' of snow

I'll try to take some this week. I know there are some others on the site that have them in stock size.

Re: Driving through 26'' of snow

Thanks guys. I wouldn't mind seeing a few more angles / shots. Sur real, I read on another post that you have your Forteras on your back porch and I thought about asking what you wanted for yours. Then I went to this post and saw your reply to me and it really got me interested. It's a little tough to see but those Grapplers look pretty good in the stock size. That looks like a fun place to take your Jeep in that photo.

Anyway, I've got Fortera's with 35,000 on them and they're going to be due soon to be replaced.

Re: Driving through 26'' of snow

Hey OtisDog1,
They are still pretty much brand new with 1400 miles in bags on the back porch. Here is a link to the pictures http://sdrv.ms/13px9XA . I dunno how much, but I'd probably take a few hundred for them. They worked alright in the nasty stuff, but they just aren't my cup o' tea and I really wanted something like the Terra Grapplers. I can honestly say that for the short period of time with the Fortera's I got a lot better gas mileage, lol.

Let me know if you want them

cool video! makes me jealous of the guys with Jeeps up north, y'all actually get real snow instead of the crap that NC gets twice a year. lol

Re: Driving through 26'' of snow

Awesome. I'm contemplating the same tires for my WK2 (same colour btw and also 20").

However, as I posted in a recent post - my current tires are dying and the showroom here in Kuwait don't have any of my size currently in stock. I'd have to order them as a special order and pay extra. Companies here tend to just bulk buy keep in stock and then when they're out you have to order them as a "special order" unless they have a huge demand for them, only then will they restock that kind of tire. Unfortunately, Terra Grapplers in this size, in Kuwait...not many people have a high demand for them.
