first time Plasti-dip on rear hatch

seen a bunch of different members use plasti-dip before and wanted to try my hand at it. i personally dont really like the look of the "flat" black. i mainly just wanted to see how the rear hatch piece would look black instead of chrome. Now that im totally digging the look im going to have my body shop color match it brilliant black, as well as the grill.

but as far as the plasti-dip goes it was extremely easy and turned out great. i did 4 coats total. i took some pics along the way.

taped everything off, left about 1/4 inch all the way around like all the youtube vids say to do.

first coat, nice and light

finished product, i did 4 coats total.

Also nice looking. How much does a body shop charge for the grill and hatch?

im not sure just yet. im going home to MN next week through the 4th and was going to have it done then. i have a great body shop that use to sponsor my race car (and also worked there while in high school as a detailer) so they always gave me good deals. but either way even with out the discount it will be WAY cheaper then ordering a new grill and rear hatch painted. the price of that new grill is re dick! $449.10 on justforjeeps.com

also put my order in earlier this week at lamin-x for the gunsmoke! thanks for all the help with that!
