So, I've been looking for a 2013 trailhawk for quite some time. I needed it to be certified pre-owned so that i could purchase the LIFETIME Maxcare Warranty. yet I also needed it to be within budget. Now these bad boys dont come up for sale very often as there were only 2000 of them made on this first run in 2013, let alone CPO and for a good price. So I was stoked to find this Diamond in the rough. 13 trailhawk CPO w/ 47k miles and sticker was 23K. She was listed as a loredo by accident by the dealer on autotrader. So it sat on the lot for 78 days. The dealer didnt even realize what a precious gem they had on their hands. The previous owner had removed the hood decal and spraypaintd the signature grey accents which allowed me to negotiate and even better deal! $20K Flat. I immediately gave them my credit card for a deposit and booked flights for the GF and I.
We flew the red eye from Los Angeles, CA to Detroit, MI. Arriving at 5am Friday morning. Picked p the trailhawk, finalized paperwork and hit the road at 10am.
We drove the whole Route 66. but we didnt have very much time to explore as we needed to get home in time for the SUPERBOWL on Sunday @ 3:30pm. Drove 15 hours Friday to Tulsa, OK, slept 6 hours, drive 15 hours Saturday to Kingman, AZ, slept 6 hours, then drive the last 5 hours. We got home at 1:30pm Sunday. Just in time to Shower, Pick up beer and get the Superbowl Party! WHAT AN ADVENTURE!
So here she is! I've got some work to do to her.... Im gonna return the signature grey accents, add llams suspension mod, a winch with RRO Bush Bar Kit, roof rack, bushwackers, Lockpic w/ front cam.
Im not sure about the hood decal though. I thought i wanted to replace it, but now I think I kinda like not having it. Looks more stealth, like a silent assassin.
**Not sure why my photos arent posting - Would be nice to show you guys my new jeep, lol**
